Financial media have long been asking whether a financial bubble is emerging, for example as a result of the AI boom. Market valuations have pointed in this direction for some time. Moreover, one of the AI industry's leading figures, Sam Altman, has since August last year argued that there is a bubble. The question should therefore perhaps be less about whether there is a bubble and more about when it will burst, and whether the financial system is prepared to handle a major correction. Simulating the bursting of a bubble across portfolios can provide a deeper understanding of their underlying exposures and dynamics. This applies, for example, to an organisation's risk understanding, decision architecture, agility, and so forth. This is where top leadership builds the foundations for resilience, both in financial portfolios and in industrial companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
